Referred to us
Your dentist has referred you to us. Here's what happens next.
Being referred simply means your dentist wants a specialist opinion on one part of your care. You stay with your own practice for everything else — we look after the specific treatment you've been referred for, then hand your ongoing care straight back.
Before your first visit
We will contact you to arrange a consultation once your referral arrives. Bring any letter your dentist gave you, a list of current medications, and your usual glasses if you use them for reading paperwork. Recent X-rays are usually sent to us directly, so there is nothing else to prepare.
Your consultation
Your first appointment is an unhurried assessment with the specialist named on your referral. We examine the area your dentist has asked about, explain what we find in plain language, and agree the options with you before anything is planned. A written treatment plan, including fees, goes to you and to your dentist.
Fees and questions
Consultation and treatment fees are listed on our fees page, and every plan is priced in writing before treatment starts. If anything about your referral is unclear, call the practice or request a callback and the team will talk it through.
